Has the coronavirus interrupted your Wedding plans?
For weeks, the wedding industry has had growing concerns about the coronavirus, practicing social distancing and keeping their Couples safe. These new recommendations will help couples who are struggling and do not know what to do with their Wedding plans.
If you’ve decided to postpone your wedding listen up for some inspiring advice as we sat and chatted with wedding planner, Sharon Thomas, of Celtic Knot Weddings to get all the info you need on postponing your wedding or keeping the same date but following guidelines because of coronavirus.
Step 1
Don’t Panic!
Contact your Venue!
Yes, it is unprecedented, but it means you now have some flexibility. You can still have your Wedding Day, either a small intimate wedding and a party at a later date or postpone to a different date…
Step 2
Contact your planner….
If you don’t have one, maybe now is the perfect time to contact one for some advice. Sharon from Celtic Knot Weddings & Events has been communicating with all of her suppliers and has set up a helpline to assist any Brides or Grooms stuck in limbo about their big day. Step 3
Talk to your vendors and develop a new plan
Ring them, respect that you’re not the only couple they are rescheduling. Take the opportunity to have an honest chat, bond, laugh, make friends. Your Band, your Photographer, your Baker, they’re all part of your Wedding too, get to know them and trust them before your big day. Do something to help them out and follow-up the call with an email outlining what was discussed, because we all know this is bleeding head wrecking!
If your Supplier is already booked, contact Sharon for a list of trusted and recommend Suppliers she LOVES!
